ActionCheese and ActionCheese Sync collect no data. There are no sign-ups, no analytics and no ActionCheese servers, and your photos and videos are never uploaded.

What stays on your devices
Everything you shoot stays on your devices. Phones, iPads and Macs connect to each other directly over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the way AirDrop does, and only after you confirm the same pairing code on both screens. The live picture, remote commands, your files and the copies of each take sent to the podcast deck travel only between your paired devices, never through us or anyone else.
Voice commands are recognised on each device by Apple's on-device speech recognition. Nothing you say is recorded or sent anywhere.
Permissions the app asks for

Purchases and your plan
Pro is bought through Apple's App Store with your Apple ID. Apple handles the payment and tells the app only whether your plan is active; we never see your name, email or payment details.
To manage your up to four camera seats, the app keeps a short list of the phones on your plan (a random ID created by the app, the phone's name and when it joined) in your own iCloud. Only your Apple ID can read it; we can't. Seats you lend to a crew phone are sent directly between the two phones.
ActionCheese Sync
ActionCheese Sync runs entirely on your Mac. It reads the files and timelines you give it and writes a new timeline next to them. Nothing is uploaded.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Like any website, our hosting provider and its network keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the site. The pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser also contacts Google when you visit.
Emails you send us
If you email us, for example with feedback, a bug report or test results to [email protected], or a question to [email protected], we keep your message, your email address and any attachments so we can read and answer them and improve the app. They stay on our own mail and web hosting and on our computers, aren’t shared with anyone, and are deleted when no longer needed. Ask us at [email protected] to delete them sooner.
Children
The apps collect no personal information from anyone, including children.
